Few in Dalrath have seen their lord baron. Even the denizens of his paltry court profess no comradeship, nor pretend to understand his character. His eyes do look out, but their gaze does not waver in a human way. They behold, but reveal nothing.
Lord Kenway rules Dalrath with an aloofness that borders on catatonic. His tax collectors roam the land and take from the people, but his troops offer no law or order in return. Few prefer the new ruler, and talk romantically of the old King Omund. But that age is long past. The towns and villages have to look to their own survival and security.
